Worked directly with the CTO on a business-critical rebuild: turning a manual, spreadsheet-run operation into a self-serve product.

About the Project

For six years, connecting property managers, companies, and people ran on Google Sheets, handled by two or three people on the ops team. When COVID forced layoffs, that team shrank, but the request volume didn’t. The backlog grew, institutional knowledge left with the people who’d been let go, and the people who remained were buried.

When offices reopened, fixing this became the company’s top priority: build a real product so customers could serve themselves instead of waiting on an overloaded ops team.

What I Built

I led front-end architecture for the new B2B platform, working from an OpenAPI 3 spec I helped design, built out in React with full Jest coverage, deployed on Google Cloud.

Result

Manual operations dropped by 80%. Requests that used to sit in a backlog for days now resolve in minutes, because customers handle them directly instead of waiting on an ops team that no longer exists in the same form.
