About Me

20+ years building products as a software practitioner and leader, now bridging AI innovation with computational accuracy in health tech.

From Nomis Solutions and Skyhigh Networks to founding BetterMenu and bonsaiilabs, I've built software systems across fintech, security, health tech, education, and enterprise platforms. My expertise spans architecture, team leadership, strategic technology decisions, and knowing when to use AI versus when precision demands deterministic code.

At BetterMenu, that means AI handles assistive interactions and insights, and deterministic code handles anything where precision matters.

I also advise founders and engineering teams directly on tech stack decisions, hiring, and translating product ideas into roadmaps. The value is judgment from outside the day-to-day, on calls that are expensive to unwind once made.

My Approach

Going from zero to one means making critical decisions with incomplete information: tech stack, MVP scope, what to build versus buy. These early choices compound. I help founders navigate these tradeoffs with pattern recognition from 20+ years and multiple ventures.

I advise founding teams on exactly these calls: which shortcuts accelerate learning, and which create costly regret later. That judgment is what lets you move quickly while keeping options open for the next phase.

This approach has helped startups I've advised raise multi-million dollar seed rounds. Founders get technical credibility with investors, a foundation that supports iteration, and someone who's been through 0 → 1 before.
